v7.0.x Release notes

7.0.3

Resource Loading

Data sources and 3D models load more reliably, including older files:

  • Fixed an issue with loading Google Sheets

  • Fixed an issue with reading GLB files in which a mesh and a material have the same name

  • Removed the GLB version check, so GLB files uploaded before May 2026 can be read again

Release date: 12/10/2026

7.0.1

3D Meshes

Loading glTF meshes is more robust:

  • Fixed an issue where an empty glTF input on 3D Meshes caused loading to fail

Textures

Configurators that reuse the same texture load faster:

  • Removed a 100 ms delay when the same texture is used multiple times simultaneously

7.0.0

Performance and Memory

Products load faster and use considerably less memory, especially on iOS:

  • Transforms are now separated from meshes, so transforming a mesh is a single matrix multiplication instead of an update of every vertex; this prepares the core for animation parameters at a reasonable frame rate

  • Mesh and material loading for glb files is now in most cases postponed to the render stage, dramatically reducing the core memory footprint and addressing configurators that failed to load or crashed on iOS

Snapshots

Snapshots are faster and lighter:

  • Snapshots now only update the parameters that change in the product, making them significantly faster

  • Removed the separate snapshot rendering pipeline, further reducing peak memory usage

  • Boolean parameters now accept 0 and 1 as inputs, for example in snapshot node parameters

glb Files

Working with glb files is faster, uses less storage and displays materials correctly:

  • glb files are now split into single-mesh and single-material glb files, reducing storage and bandwidth and speeding up product loading

  • Split glb files (meshes and materials) are now lazy-loaded

  • All glb paths (glb to explode, glb to 3D meshes, meshes to 3D meshes) are now fast and display materials correctly

  • The explode modifier now always uses the split glb files, even when more than half of its outputs are connected

  • The 3D meshes node no longer converts meshes to an in-memory glb file, making it usable in the "meshes" mode in the Viewer

  • Added a warning when a pre-v7 glb file is used, recommending a re-upload to benefit from faster loading and lower peak memory usage

2D Modifiers

This release introduces the first set of dedicated 2D modifiers:

  • Added the offset and boolean 2D modifiers, built on the new Skia graphics library

  • Added the split by color modifier

  • Added the area of shape and number of points modifiers

  • Added the HSL, contrast, levels and black/white modifiers

  • Added the set artboard modifier and renamed get dimensions to get artboard

3D Modifiers and Materials

More flexibility when transforming meshes and applying textures:

  • Translate, rotate and scale now accept glTF input directly

  • Added texture scaling through the new "scale x" and "scale y" options on the standard and physical material modifiers

Camera

Smoother and more reliable camera behavior:

  • Added tweening for the camera near, far and field of view

  • Fixed an issue where the camera sometimes did not update when switching between parameters
